Puma Marketplace – An Entrepreneurial Experience

MUST BE COMPLETED BY FRIDAY, MARCH 24, 2023
OPEN TO 4th - 8th GRADE STUDENTS ONLY

LEARN, CREATE, GIVE BACK
·         Calling all CREATIVES!  Do you bake, make slime, craft friendship bracelets, create artwork, etc.?  Would you like to learn more about what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur?
·         This program will teach participants how to create, market, and eventually sell their handmade goods in a marketplace during International Night on Friday, May 5th from 6 PM to 8PM.
·         Due to space limitations, the number of student sellers per product type may be limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. We may also suggest students with similar products work together to run their market booth.
·         Interested students and parents are required to attend at least two (2) workshops.  The schedule of workshops is in the process of being finalized and will be shared with applicants as the schedule becomes available.  It is anticipated that workshops will include an entrepreneurial class, experience and idea sharing by small business owners, marketing and pricing your product, etc.
·         Items and services must be student created and sellers must have at least 20 items to sell. Onsite service providers (such as nail painting) as well as future services (tutoring, dog walking, etc.) are welcome.  Since this event is being held as part of International Night, it is recommended that products and services have an international theme.
·         Sellers retain all proceeds from the sale of their products.  Possible community giveback of 5-10% of proceeds matched by PTSA; to be decided upon by entrepreneurs.

·         Deadline to apply is Friday March 24, 2023.
·         Questions: please email treasurer@cadenceparkptsa.org.

The PTSA reserves the right to cancel this event if there is an insufficient number of students enroll in the Puma Marketplace.
