Tournament of Champions
Over the past several years, it has been amazing to see our school community come together to field teams and watch interest grow with each tournament. And this year will be no different — after Volleyfest, get ready for Harvest Cup, Winter Bowl, and Hoops Classic. Check out the flyers below to learn more, with Interest Lists already forming for each event.

What a weekend of exciting matches, great teamwork, and Puma pride! Our Cadence Park volleyball teams gave it their all at this year’s VolleyFest, showing heart, hustle, and school spirit every step of the way.
-
Our 5th/6th Grade Girls Team, led by Coach Villanueva, played with determination and teamwork throughout pool play, fighting for every point and finishing strong.
-
The 5th/6th Grade Co-ed Team, led by Coach Warmin, went undefeated in pool play and advanced to the bracket round, where they battled through a close final set, just falling short 15–13.
-
Our 7th/8th Grade Co-ed Team, also led by Coach Warmin, played two competitive matches in pool play, showcasing great effort, teamwork, and spirit from start to finish.
For many of our players, this was their first time playing volleyball, making their performance and teamwork even more impressive.
A huge thank you to our coaches Karen Villanueva and Sheena Warmin, and assistant coaches Ian Castillo and Nhung Truong—none of this is possible without our incredible volunteer coaches! And a big thank you to our players and families for your dedication, energy, and Puma pride. You made this year’s VolleyFest one to remember! π πΎ

βCadence Park teams competed in the Harvest Cup on November 22–23, gaining valuable experience and representing our community with great energy and sportsmanship. While none of the Pumas teams advanced out of pool play, the players showed effort, teamwork, and resilience throughout the weekend and most importantly, had a lot of fun doing it.
The Harvest Cup provided important takeaways as we prepare for upcoming competitions. With changes coming ahead for the Tournament of Champions, we’re excited about the growth and progress on the horizon. We’re already looking forward to an even stronger showing at next year’s Harvest Cup!
A huge thank you to our amazing coaches: William Belport, Cassandra Holzhauer, Mark Deppe, Shaily Gupta, Cliff Hattar, Adam Lorenzo, Joanna Mijes, Shahram Khanzadeh and Nazli Farahanchi.

Our Cadence Park Pumas showed up in a big way at Winter Bowl, and we couldn’t be prouder of our athletes, coaches, and families. Across every division, our students played with heart, grit, teamwork, and true Puma pride—representing our school beautifully on and off the field.
We’re especially excited to celebrate:
π Two teams advanced to the semi-finals
- 4th Grade Boys
- 6th Grade Boys
π Two teams battled all the way to become CHAMPIONS in their divisions
- 3rd/4th Grade Girls
- 7th Grade Boys
But no matter the outcome, every team demonstrated sportsmanship, resilience, and a commitment to doing their best. These experiences—working together, supporting teammates, and learning through competition—are what youth sports are all about.
A huge thank you to our Athletics Director, Darius Burton, for leading our program, and to our incredible volunteer coaches who made this season possible: Jon & Cassie Holzhauer, Mike & Lisa Duncan, Shannon Petluck, Shaily Gupta, Jason Tedesco, Isaiah Olsen, Timothy Choi, Amari Beverly, Ian Castillo, Darius Burton, Sophie Jordan, Lea Gutierrez, Nina Brooke, Seanethon Martinez, Geno Villanueva, and Kevin Crum.
And of course, thank you to our players and families for your dedication, energy, and unwavering support. Winter Bowl was an amazing chapter in our athletics season! ππΎ
