Dear Cadence Park Families,

As we head into the final weeks of the semester and begin looking toward winter break, we want to take a moment to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished together this fall. It’s easy to let the weeks rush by, especially with how full and vibrant life at Cadence Park can be—but when we pause to take it all in, it’s clear that this has been a season of extraordinary community, generosity, and heart.

Since August, our families and volunteers have helped shape a school experience filled with joy, creativity, and connection. From a beautifully stocked Staff Lounge to a joyful Back-to-School Aloha night, we opened the year with warmth and celebration. Our Membership Drive brought in 473 members—parents, teachers, students, and community members alike—and we’re well on our way to hitting 500 strong by the end of the year. And of course, our community rallied in a truly unforgettable way for our Fall Fundraiser, raising all the funds needed for the entire year in one powerful campaign. Your support makes a real difference—and it means everything.

Throughout the semester, we’ve watched programs come to life in beautiful ways: our youngest Pumas cuddled up with stuffies and stories at Pumajama Storytime, our Reflections artists poured their hearts into creative submissions, and our incredible Room Parents transformed campus into a Halloween spectacle—inside and out. We’ve cheered on our athletes at VolleyFest and are gearing up for Harvest Cup. We watched our upper elementary and middle schoolers dive into Science Olympiad and MathCounts. We’ve gathered together for Red Ribbon WeekLunch & LEAP activites, and Puma Run Club. We’ve even danced in costume under the stars at our Fall Family Fest, celebrated our local soccer club at OCSC Puma Family Night, and come together for meaningful service projects through Pumas Care—including a backpack drive and a food drive that supported families right here in Orange County.

Through all of this, one thing has remained constant: you. This community continues to show up, pitch in, and lift one another up in ways both big and small. Whether you donated supplies, gave to the fundraiser, ran a program, or simply helped another family feel welcome, you have been part of something special.

Thank you for being the heart of Cadence Park. We are so proud of what we’ve built together this semester—and we can’t wait for what’s to come in the new year.

With gratitude,

Your Cadence Park PTSA

Over Fall Break, several of our community chats were targeted by cyberbots. Behind the scenes, our PTSA volunteers worked quickly to remove the bots and secure each group. In the process, a few legitimate members may have been removed by accident—if that happened to you, please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can get you added back in. You can email us at admin@cadenceparkptsa.org.

To help keep our chats safe moving forward, we’ll be implementing an extra layer of protection that will require approval to join certain groups.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding—and a special thank you to the volunteers who spent part of their break protecting our community spaces. 💙

Reminder: The grade level chats are run by individual parents and not the PTSA.

It’s time to begin building the 2026–2027 PTSA Board—and we’re looking for five PTSA members to serve on this year’s Nominating Committee, along with two alternates. This committee plays a vital role in identifying and recommending next year’s board members and helping guide the future of our organization.

If you’re looking for a way to meaningfully impact next year’s PTSA, this is it.

To serve, you must be a current PTSA member, and we need to finalize the full committee by Friday, December 12 so it can be formally ratified by our Executive Board. From there, the committee will meet independently to select a slate of nominees, which will follow the timeline below:

✅ December 12: Nominating Committee ratified by Executive Board

✅ February 6: Nominating Committee presents ’26-’27 Board Slate to Executive Board

✅ March 20: ’26-’27 Board Slate voted on by the General Association

If you’re interested in joining the committee—or if you’d like to be considered for a board position—please reach out to our PTSA Parliamentarian, Kevin Crum, at parliamentarian@cadenceparkptsa.org as soon as possible.

This is a meaningful opportunity to be part of shaping the leadership and future of Cadence Park PTSA—we’d love to have you involved. 💙

We’re building our Winter Bowl Flag Football teams this week, and we need players and coaches to make it happen! If your student is in grades 3rd–8th and wants to join the fun, be sure to fill out our Athletics Interest Form ASAP.

We hope to have teams finalized this week so we can kick off practices next week. But we can’t do that without enough players—and we definitely can’t do it without volunteer coaches. If you’re willing to help lead a team, please let us know—we’d love to have you.

Our new PTSA Athletics Director, Darius Burton, will be reaching out with more information soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact him with questions at athletics@cadenceparkptsa.org.

🗓️ Winter Bowl takes place Saturday, January 24th—and we want to see Cadence Park out there in full force!

Let’s go, Pumas! 💙 🐾

Our PTSA is powered by volunteers—parents and caregivers who bring their time, creativity, and energy to the programs and events that make Cadence Park such a vibrant place. As we look ahead to the second half of the school year, we’re looking for a few more hands to help make the magic happen.

We’re currently looking for chairs or co-chairs for two of our most beloved spring events:

  • 8th Grade Promotion Dance – Wednesday, June 3
  • Spring Obstacle Course – Friday, March 27

Even though we won’t be holding a Spring Fundraiser, the Obstacle Course is still on—and we’d love help bringing it to life!

We’re also building our committees for several upcoming programs and events, including:

  • International Night – January 30
  • Talent Show – February 27
  • Spring Obstacle Course – March 27
  • Puma Marketplace – April 10
  • Camp Cadence – April 18–19
  • Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week – May 4–8
  • 8th Grade Promotion Dance – June 3
  • 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony – June 5

If you’re interested in joining any committee—or even just lending a hand—please reach out to us at admin@cadenceparkptsa.org. We’ll get you connected with the right team.

We’re also still looking for volunteer coaches for both Winter Bowl and Hoops Classic. If you’re willing to coach, please indicate it on our interest form or email us directly. Our teams only exist because of volunteer coaches like you!

If you’re considering getting involved—as a chair, committee member, or coach—we’d love to hear from you. Every event and program we run is a success because of the time, talent, and heart our community brings to the table.

💛 Thank you for all you do!

Winter Break is just around the corner! Cadence Park will be closed from December 21 through January 3, giving our students, staff, and families time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the season.

We hope your break is filled with joy—whether you’re celebrating beloved traditions, discovering new ones, or simply catching your breath after a full and vibrant fall semester.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and a restful break. We can’t wait to see you in the new year, ready to dive into everything the spring semester has in store! 💙

At Cadence Park, we believe every student should be able to participate—no matter what. That’s why the PTSA offers scholarships for any of our programs that have a cost, including tournament fees and even yearbook.

All of our programs are free to join, but if fees ever get in the way, we’re here to help. Just fill out our quick, confidential Scholarship Form and we’ll take care of the rest.
